Fettes College is extremely proud to announce an outstanding set of 2024 GCSE results with 24% of results at grade 9 and 50% at grades 9-8 (equivalent to A* under the previous system). In total, 72% of all grades achieved were 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A), which is particularly impressive compared to a national average of 48% 9-7 grades across the independent sector.
Fettes College consistently achieves outstanding academic results in International Baccalaureate (IB), A Level and GCSE/IGCSE exams.
We are the only school to offer A Level and IB in Scotland. The quality of the grades that our students achieve strongly supports our reputation for being among the leading co-educational boarding schools in the UK.

We are so proud of all the leaving cohort of 2024, with our A Level candidates receiving their results on Thursday 15th August and accepting offers at superb institutions throughout the UK and around the world.
On Saturday 6th July, the worldwide International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results were released, bringing excellent news for the members of the Fettes College Upper Sixth Form who have been following the IB pathway for the past two years; scoring an impressive average score of 38 points.
