Fettes is a place to live.
With nine senior Houses (four boys, four girls and an Upper Sixth House) the Houses are central to our full boarding ethos and each one is like a big family where life-long friendships are made, trust is fostered and loyalty forged.
As well as strong bonds with housemates, it is the commitment of Houseparents, Assistant Houseparents, Tutors and Matrons that leaves a lasting impression. These individuals are dedicated to caring for our students and every member of our full-time teaching staff is connected to a boarding House, and really get to know each student. Day students are fully integrated members of the Houses and follow the same routines as boarders.
The care and welfare of students is fundamentally important to the School and Fettes College is dedicated to ensuring that all students and staff live together in a safe and supportive environment. Our pastoral care is considered sector leading and Fettes aims to provide a positive and supportive environment in which students have the opportunity to flourish in all aspects of their lives.
