Sport is an integral part of a healthy and active lifestyle developing key life skills such as resilience, humility, teamwork and communication. As a boarding school we also see the benefits sport has on our students’ mental health and wellbeing. With over 20 sporting options available, both competitively and recreationally, the sporting programme offers something for all students no matter their skill level or interest. With a wealth of exceptional sporting facilities onsite, a walk through our extensive, leafy campus will show you our active, purposeful community.

Melissa Wilson - Old Fettesian (CE 2009 - 2011)
After leaving Fettes, Melissa Wilson achieved a First Class degree in English from Cambridge. Whilst there she rowed as part of the Cambridge Blues squad in the historic 2015 boat race, racing on the same course as the men for the first time.

Having secured a Silver Medal at the British Indoor Rowing Championships last December, Lower Sixth student, Fergus P’s rowing is going from strength to strength following his second successful weekend in Nottingham attending the GB Rowing Development Programme.
