Our vision for Fettes Prep is entitled ‘Prep for Life’ and all our plans are designed to do exactly that for your children.

The pace of change in the world means that children are needing something extra now and we have identified three areas within which we plan to develop our school so that your children are given an advantage. This is affecting the way we teach and what we teach; after all, given the amount of time spent in lessons, if nothing changes in the classroom nothing changes. It is also affecting how we prepare children for the next stage of their education so that the focus is not just on rote learning for an exam. Finally, our teaching and systems are changing to deliberately develop empathy and kindness in our young people – crucial if they are to make their mark in the world.
