It's week seven of our Small Steps Eco Club activity and we've been helping out our feathered friends. Our bird baths are now grouted, so had their first outing and we've had a go at making bird feeders.
We refer to our pupils as busy little bees because, as well as their lessons and sport, they are involved in a vast array of trips, talks, socials events and activities.
They may spend time at an international rugby match, experience sailing on a Scottish loch, climb a Munro as part of a boarding weekend or enjoy a night at the theatre.
We have a Pupil Council at which pupils can make suggestions for new initiatives. We encourage activities for many reasons but probably the most important one is to broaden their horizons, because not all learning can take place at a school desk: not even one of ours.
For more information please see our Co-Curricular brochure.
"I would tell a friend who was joining the school that they would love all the activities on offer. There are so many to choose from."
"The most amazing thing about Fettes is that we have a huge variety of things to do. The trip to London was one of my highlights."
"Dressing up with my friends as bananas for the 'Fruity' Charity Run was one of my favourite memories in the Prep School."
At Fettes Prep our pupils can be part of an exciting and varied activities programme. This week Fettes Prep Eco Club, Small Steps, visited Fettes head chef Alistair MacDonald for an evening of food discussions and baking!
