Head of English, Miss Craig has been so impressed with the energy and enthusiasm that all our pupils have given to this year’s Poetry Competition. She said “ The commitment of our pupils has been wonderful, most especially after such an unusual term. The teachers at Fettes Prep School are incredibly lucky to have such an amazing group of pupils."

Mr Harrison, who teaches in the English Department at the College, had the very tricky job of deciding a winner and a highly commended for each category as well as an overall winner. After much deliberation, his results were in today. Congratulations to Charlie and Sope who won the junior and senior categories respectively. Martha and Toby gave excellent performances too and were both highly commended in the junior and senior groups and Nina came away as a very worthy overall winner of this year's Poetry Competition.

Mr Harrison said “Charlie’s rendition was delivered with understanding, humour and life and Sope hit just the right level of dramatisation with wonderful touches of humour in the delivery.” Nina’s performance stood out as a “very interesting choice, which was maturely understood and beautifully performed and paced”

Well done to all the competitors, this was certainly a competition to remember!
