Our Prep School pupils have enjoyed two History trips in the last couple of weeks.

P Form have been studying the Victorians and went to the Heart of Newhaven to discover what it was like to be a Victorian school child. They dressed up, lined up in rows and started their school day. They practised the 3 R’s (reading, writing and arithmetic) and answered questions by raising their right hand only! They learned all about the punishments meted out if you fidgeted or spoke out of turn. P Form were glad that punishments such as the dunce cap were no longer used in schools.

S Form spent a fantastic day at the National Museum of Flight, East Fortune Airfield, which they are visited as part of their Second World War History topic. They dressed in flight gear and spent time in the hangers learning more about the aircraft and technology used in the Second World War.
