M Form went on an Egyptian Adventure to the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street.
We were greeted by Katherine, one of the educational team, and transported back to Ancient Egypt in a wonderful interactive workshop. We visited the market place, touched artefacts and took part in a story with a final crowning of a new pharaoh accompanied by bearers of gifts and musicians. Lots of fun was had by us all.
We then visited the museum to look at real artefacts and were accompanied by Head of History, Miss Mair, who provided us with plenty of details about the exhibits. There were many interactive games to enjoy and we were able to connect with a super video about the importance of the Nile from all of our classroom learning.
Having a packed lunch and a trip in the school mini bus was also a highlight of the day for many.
