On Saturday 19 March Fettes students got together to celebrate Holi 2022, after Mehar K, Nimrat K and Tanya M spoke to the school on Friday about the origins of Holi and why it is such an important day in the year for them, explaining that Holi is the Festival of Colours which celebrates the win of love over evil. Holi also marks the arrival of Spring and was this year celebrated on 18 March.

Traditionally people dress in white clothes, go into the streets and celebrate Holi by splashing coloured water and powdered colours known as Gulal. Fettes students had their own version on Saturday – ensuring lots of colour and fun were part of the celebrations.
