We are excited that our students and teaching staff returned to campus this week for the start of term, refreshed and ready for a fulfilling year ahead. We were delighted to welcome all the new members of the Fettes community too. We look forward to being with them for every step of the way so they can embrace all that Fettes has to offer.

We look forward to seeing our students make many more memories and hope the term ahead is filled with lots of laughter and learning.

The Autumn Term is a wonderful time of reconnecting and we relish the easing of restrictions too. A safe and happy environment for all is our key aim. During this term, the main sports are Rugby and Hockey and we are delighted that fixtures will be going ahead. Both our Rugby and Hockey teams returned to school last week for pre-season training and it was fantastic to see the students excited for the competitive season ahead.

This term we will also see the return of singing and a relative return to normal for our musicians. We have greatly missed the beautiful music created by Mr Goodenough and his choirs.

The start of term is a great opportunity to be open minded and positive about the year ahead. Many students will be starting new subjects with new teachers and we hope that they are excited to return to school, equipped with a desire to learn and to give the new term 100% effort.

During the Autumn term we will be hosting our Virtual Open Day on the 18th September bringing Fettes to life via a range of live, interactive webinars covering Academics, Pastoral Care, Sport and our Co-curricular programme giving you the opportunity to answer the questions that really matter.
