The highly anticipated return to competitive rugby was magnified with the excitement of a new Scottish Rugby Conference structure awaiting the students. A very competitive eight team East Schools Conference awaited our rugby players from 1st XV downwards with weekly fixtures being played against the top Scottish Schools. A hard-fought opening round against Merchiston Castle School saw a collective effort between both teams, however final scores saw Merchiston winning 16-18. From then on the strong consistent effort from our players during games with Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, George Heriots, Dollar Academy, Strathallan School and George Watson's College, kept Fettes in a very strong mid table position – our players showed great confidence and enthusiasm which they have been building upon throughout the season.

As we enter the last week of the conference, Fettes is positioned 5th on the league table. On Saturday we play a full competitive block of fixtures against Edinburgh Academy. Good Luck to everyone!

“I am incredibly proud of every single one of the boys who turn out on a weekly basis, for either the A or B team, and tackle all challenges head on. I am also hugely grateful for all the support from the whole Fettes community and look forward to continuing to make positive steps forwards next season.”
