Having celebrated a wonderful end of term, we now look forward to the Autumn term and are delighted to introduce our Prefects and Heads of School for 2022/23. At the start of term we will announce details of the areas of specific responsibility for each Prefect. Meantime our new Heads of School, Kai L and Erika T share their thoughts on what this means for each of them:
Kai L: “To be a student leader in such a vibrant community is an opportunity that only comes once in a lifetime and is an absolute honour. I see the Head of School role as one that creates a direct and accessible link between the students and the teachers, to ensure a positive progression into the future for Fettesians. I will particularly enjoy working alongside Erika and my primary aim is to encourage a culture of empathy where all students feel at home at this school - these are values that I appreciate as a student here. These are exciting times, and I hope that the rest of the school is just as excited as I am.”
Erika T: “I feel privileged and honoured to accept the role of Head of School. For me Fettes is a place that has positively benefited me every day I have spent here since 2015. I am so excited to be able to support Mrs Harrison and the School Prefect team in all aspects of school life alongside Kai. I aspire to be an encouraging and thoughtful figure for the whole Fettes Community, and hope that I will be someone with whom people can entrust their opinions and aspirations for the future.
Mrs H Harrison, Head, says “Fettes College is a place to live, a place to learn and a place to grow. We are so proud of our Prefects and the roles they fulfil, and each year it is a great pleasure to announce the new Prefects and Heads of School. Led by Erika and Kai we have another great team of caring and committed individuals who we know will reflect our School ethos and values in all they do.”
We wish them all a wonderful summer and look forward to the 2022-23 academic year.
