On Wednesday 15th May, Mrs Mill attended the first Mental Health in Scottish Sport conference at Hampden Park. Mrs Mill was attending as an athlete representative but was able to take away a lot in relation to the importance of physical activity on mental health and the impact that competing on the International stage can have on mental health.

"It was an excellent conference with some outstanding speakers discussing the hugely important topic of mental health in sport with ‘support within sport’ and ‘it’s ok not to be ok’ being some of the key messages from the conference".

The conference was opened by the Minister for Mental Health, Clare Haughey, and speakers included some key figures in sports medicine, rugby player Fraser Brown and world short-track champion Elise Christie.
