Last week we had our first live musical event for sixteen months! The final of the Music Competition featured everything from the Chapel organ through to the electric guitar, and was an uplifting celebration of live music.

Tiger L, Marcus P, Bethany W, Lucy R, Samuel J, Nikki W, Artem L, Yiwen S, Olivia S, Tanya M, Raphael C and Sofia E performed brilliantly in the Intermediate Class, while Delilah P, Ren K, Taylor T, Lewis H, Abigail M, Fergus B, Somei M and Davina H all gave excellent performances in the Senior Class.

The standard throughout was terrific, and our adjudicator, Shona Jones (previous Assistant Director of Music at Fettes), had the very difficult job of choosing winners. In the end, Marcus P won the Intermediate Class on the guitar and Abigail M took the top spot in the Senior Class with her singing. Tanya M (singing) and Bethany W (violin) were jointly awarded the Highly Commended prize in the Intermediate Class, and Delilah P (singing) and Ren K (violin) were Highly Commended in the Senior category.  Everyone, however, played their part in what was a special evening, and warm congratulations go to them all.
