With growing unemployment and the ongoing repercussions of COVID-19, the pressure on all food banks is greater than ever so the Fettes community wanted to make a particular effort this year. So, this morning, led by our Chaplain and ECM volunteers, six carloads of donated food and hygiene products were collected for immediate distribution to the Leith Food Bank and others around the city.

Here is a quote from Fiona Russell, ECM Office Manager explaining the impact that these donations will make

"We are always overwhelmed by the support Fettes’ students and parents show us at this time of year and these donations will keep the foodbanks going with essential supplies for a number of weeks, so thank you! It means that the funds we have in our Food Fund will last so much longer. Our volunteer Food Co-ordinator is also delighted as it reduces the size of her weekly top-up shop considerably!"

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously.
