In what is a new addition to the Saturday night programme, the Third Form enjoyed a late afternoon walk in the Pentlands, summiting Allermuir hill and enjoying panoramic views back over Edinburgh. For many students this was their first time in the Pentlands, and they enjoyed being able to look back over Edinburgh and try to spot Fettes in the distance.
The Fourth and Fifth Form enjoyed an evening of activities within the wonderful school grounds of Fettes. The Fourth Form had the use of the Westwoods Sports facility, playing basketball and badminton within the hall and also making use of the Sutcliffe for several games of football. Yoga sessions were also well attended for those wanting something a little more peaceful. Meanwhile, the Fifth were hosted by Mr and Mrs Harrison on the Head’s Lawn, where they enjoyed a BBQ and playing a variety of games like tug-0-war, giant Jenga and outdoor badminton.
