Fettes College is delighted to announce an outstanding set of 2021 GCSE results.

All examination results are scored by numerical grading 9-1 with the following impressive percentages being achieved:

33%     9

62%     9/8

81%     9/8/7 (equivalent of A* /A in previous years)

99%     9 - 4 (equivalent of A*- C in previous years)

Despite the unprecedented disruptions of the last two years, our GCSE candidates have shown true determination and strength of character.  Each student should feel proud of their ongoing efforts and celebrate their hard work and commitment. Whether progressing to A Level or IB, we know the skills they have learnt and the thorough grounding they have achieved will stand them in good stead. We are very proud of the many individual successes contained within these statistics with particular congratulations going to the 26 pupils who received nothing lower than an 8 including those 5 students who achieved a full set of 9s.

"I am so pleased that the talent, dedication and sheer hard work of both our students and staff have combined to produce such an impressive set of results especially given the adaptability needed over the last two years. These results reflect the excellent standard of learning and teaching happening throughout Fettes and our students should feel exceedingly proud of what they have achieved. They will now embark on their studies in the Sixth Form with an excellent academic grounding and we are looking forward to welcoming them back for the start of a new year."
