Friends of Fettes College Events in April

Our US charity Friends of Fettes College was delighted to host two well-attended gatherings in April, with drinks held at Mission Dupont in Washington DC and in The Long Room in New York. It was wonderful to welcome Old Fettesians, former staff, current and past parents, and even current students to these events which took place during Fettes’ Easter holiday. Our community was able to connect, reminisce and even enjoy some bagpipe playing by one of our OFs – a skill learned at Fettes. Another OF met his former teacher after a 60-year gap.

Michael Stitt, our Director of Development, travelled to the USA to attend these events and delivered speeches on the school today and its ambitions for the future. This included exciting plans for our visit to North America in early April next year. There will be more information on this in due course.

We are extremely grateful to the Trustees of Friends of Fettes College, and particularly Brock Landry (Mo 1965-1966), Nicholas Burnett (CE-Ar 1963-1968) and Richard Blackett (Ki 1969-1974), for their generous support and hospitality.
