Autumn Term
Our Fettes community Choir rehearses on Saturday mornings during term time in the Culachy Recital Room, 11am-12noon.
We are a friendly group of parents (of current and past pupils), Fettes Staff and Old Fettesians who enjoy singing.
We would be delighted to welcome new members; rehearsals are fun and the ability to read music is not essential as there will be audio tracks of the voice parts available to practise with.
This term we will be learning some uplifting carols to sing around Edinburgh and London (for those who can make it).
We will also be learning the cantata Ahoy! Sing For The Mary Rose by Alexander L’Estrange - an exhilarating celebration of King Henry VIII’s famous warship, the Mary Rose. Fusing the music of Tudor times with an array of catchy sea shanties, we will embark on a whirlwind journey across the oceans – and the centuries – in this glorious celebration of English maritime history. We will join forces with Prep School pupils for the performance in March, accompanied by a professional band and narrator. The composer of the cantata will also join us to lead a workshop with the entire crew!

- September 7, 14, 21
