World Book Day Celebrations
The Prep School recently marked World Book Day with a series of engaging and enjoyable activities. Pupils and Staff arrived dressed as characters from their favourite books, ranging from timeless literary figures to more modern protagonists, creating a colourful and lively atmosphere throughout the school. In addition to their costumes, pupils took part in creative workshops, and crafted their own bookmarks as a way of celebrating their love for reading. At lunchtime, the excitement continued onto the astro pitch, where pupils, and Mrs Neary, participated in a record-breaking plank challenge, all with a fun, literary theme.
A highlight of the day was the "Drop Everything and Read" session, during which the entire school paused their usual activities to enjoy a quiet moment of reading. This provided an opportunity for both pupils and staff to immerse themselves in books and reflect on the joys of literature. The day was filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and a collective appreciation for the written word, making it a memorable and rewarding celebration of World Book Day.
