Start of Term - Prep Round-Up
It's been a wonderfully sunny start to the term, and we have taken full advantage of this!
Our pupils have been out at breaktimes, for lessons and games sessions. The 2nd Form barbeque was held on a balmy evening on the first Friday of the term, and we all enjoyed a lunchtime barbeque on the Queen's Lawn which was a very special treat.
Our boarders have been out and about as part of their busy weekend programme. Last week they visited Gullane Beach and enjoyed games at the seaside and a delicious ice cream to round of their day. This weekend saw them at Conifox Adventure Park where they bounced on the trampolines, played on the swings and raced around the cart track.
2nd Form have begun their Leadership Training Programme, and the first group spent a busy weekend both on campus and out at Broomlee Outdoor Education Centre where they learnt more about the leadership skills which will help them with their prefect duties.
Ahead of our Plant and Bake Sale, some of our gardeners took part in a photoshoot to promote the sale and raise awareness about our chosen charity, Pristine Seas. We started growing plants from seeds last summer term and thanks to the care of our grounds staff over the holiday, many have made it through! All of the funds we raise from the sale of homegrown plants and homemade cakes will be donated to Pristine Seas who helped us so much with our Earth Day back in April.
