We've been investigating some interesting topics in our maths and science lessons so far this term. 

P Form were presented with a variety of objects, including a cup of jelly, and were asked to identify whether they were solids or liquids. Meanwhile,1st Form were completing their cells topic by looking at diffusion. They experimented with skittles, not all of which made it to the petri dishes!

Some of our 1^st Form have been exploring place value and the theory behind multiplying and dividing a number by 10, 100 and 1000. A practical reminder of the digits moving went down well.

2Q's maths lessons this week focussed on forming equations to gain a deeper understanding of how and why we use algebra in general terms. Gaining a full understanding of why is far more important than simply learning the process and method here at the Prep school.
