Instrumental Competition Final

We were delighted to welcome our adjudicator, Mrs Shona Jones to the final of our Instrumental Competition on Monday evening. We were all treated to the most wonderful concert and entertained by our incredible young musicians with skill, expression, poise and professionalism in every performance.

The standard of playing was possibly the highest we have ever heard at this event, giving Mrs Jones the unenviable task of choosing the category winners!

Every single player excelled themselves, but after much deliberation, the winners on the night were as follows:

Jemima came first in the Intermediate T Form Class on the French horn with Beau taking the highly commended spot on saxophone.

Sasha won the Intermediate 1st Form Class, playing flute, whilst Chloe was awarded a highly commended certificate for her violin piece.

Samuel was the winner of the Senior Class for his performance on drums and Nyasha received a highly commended certificate on flute.

Our thanks as ever to our inspirational music department, led by Mr Pettinger, and to all the visiting music teachers for their wonderful work.
