Arran Challenge and Iona Adventure

Our Prep boarders headed away this weekend to take part in the Arran Challenge and Iona Adventure.

Arran Challenge

Arran House took a very special trip for their Challenge this weekend when they headed for the Isle of Arran to climb Goat Fell, the highest point on the island at 874m.

They set off on Saturday and after a beautifully sunny ferry journey, they arrived at Lochranza where they enjoyed a game of football before tucking into a hearty supper.

Sunday dawned overcast with dark clouds, so they knew they would probably experience a wet climb which they were fully kitted out for! The day was certainly challenging, but all the boys met this with enthusiasm and in good spirits.

After hot showers and dry clothes, everyone enjoyed some crazy golf and pizza on the pier before saying a fond farewell to the Isle of Arran and boarding the ferry for the journey home.

A brilliant time was had by all; well done to the Arran Team!

Iona Adventure

Iona House set off for the borders for their Adventure weekend.

Their first stop was North Berwick where they experienced the thrills of a boat trip, looking out for sea life along the way.

After a delicious supper and night at the Berwick hostel, they headed back up the coast to Dunbar for a day of fun at Fox Lake. Here they took part in archery as well as a variety of water-based activities. Everyone enjoyed playing on the inflatables and warmed up afterwards with hot chocolate.

The weekend was such fun and the Iona team returned to school with lots of happy memories.
