Both students and staff in our College and Prep took part in poignant Acts of Remembrance this weekend. Due to current restriction, our usual Chapel services were unable to take place, however our Chaplain, Rev. Dr Clark, conducted both services ensuring that the fallen were remembered. On Saturday, as has become tradition, the Prep staff and pupils laid poppies on the edge of the Queens Lawn with each poppy representing an Old Fettesian who lost their life in battle, each name being read out as a poppy was laid.
On Sunday, College pupils and staff came together (in year group bubbles) to remember those who lost their lives with particular attention given to Old Fettesians. This emotive act of remembrance took place five times so that each year had the opportunity to pay their respects with year group representatives laying a wreath. The piping and trumpet last post added to this memorable occasion.
Lest we forget.
