Last Friday night was the hotly anticipated staff vs 1st XI girls’ hockey match. As always, the match didn’t fail to disappoint and it was superb to see such a great turnout of staff and pupils showing their support. Within the first quarter, the staff team scored 2 excellent goals but immediately the 1st XI girls responded and added pressure with an outstanding goal scored by Izzy U. Going into the final quarter, the staff had a 2-1 advantage and Mr Russell and Mr Henderson provided some unbelievable defensive work to assist in keeping that lead. After a fantastic counterattack though, the students won a short corner late into the 4th quarter which equalised the score to 2-2. A huge thank you to all the staff and pupils that played in such a fun and eventful match.
