We are delighted to feature 2025 Leaver Fraser C, who is heading to Cambridge to read Natural Sciences (Physics). Fraser said, “It would have been very easy for me to lose myself in Physics, but Fettes converted what I once called a “socialisation quota” (social events like Ceilidhs) into something I actively enjoyed. Fettes facilitated opportunities that took me to an international Olympiad in Brazil but also injected my learning with so much more: general science, German Language, CCF / DofE…  

Fettes introduced me simultaneously to amazing friendly competition, but also lifelong friends and a boarding house’s brotherhood.  

Fettes allowed me to love Physics, whilst teaching me there is so much more in life, which it equipped me for.  

I compel all current Fettesians to capitalise upon the exceptional privilege that is an education which prioritises academics without forgetting extra-curriculars.”
