During half term, 58 students and 8 members of staff headed to Nassfeld, Austria, for this year’s Senior School ski trip. We arrived to already excellent conditions on the piste; the groups were able to enjoy freshly ‘corduroyed’ slopes and experience some fresh powder from day one. Across the week, skiers and snowboarders made great progress and all students picked up new skills, regardless of previous ability.
Alongside the hours of tuition on the slopes, there were an array of exciting activities undertaken throughout the week. Sledging was a hit with all year groups as well as making full use of the on-site pool and spa. Students were also treated to a pizza night alongside the fantastic Austrian cuisine in the hotel. We hosted our traditional quiz night, with all year groups competing for the top spot (and attempting to beat a highly competitive staff team!) as well as our annual ‘paper plate’ awards, in which every student receives a personalised award from the staff.
It was a superb trip to Nassfeld and we are already looking forward to welcoming new and returning students in our trip to Zell am See in 2025.
