The final Singing Competition of the year was held on Friday evening with thirteen of our most talented singers taking part.

Fergus B, Iris L, Abbey R, Abigail M, Taylor T and Davina H preformed from the intermediate class with an intriguing array of music ranging from Porter to Purcell, Gershwin to Mendelssohn-Hensel.

For the senior class, Ciara O, Flora H, Nathan L, Scarlett G, Inés H, Elise E and Jael S showed their linguistical skills as well as their singing talents performing pieces including Rossini’s La Pastorella Delle Alpi, Brahms’ An Die Nachtigall and Mozart’s L’amero Saro Costante.

The standard was outstanding and our brilliant adjudicator, Elizabeth McCormack from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, had an incredibly hard job choosing the winners. After much deliberation, Abbey won the intermediate class with Fergus and Davina were awarded highly commended. Jael won the senior class with Inés highly commended.

Everyone sang extremely well and can be proud of the contribution that they made to this wonderful celebration of singing. Well done everyone!
