Service Expedition | Climate Change

As part of the 3rd Form Climate Change Project Week, our students had the opportunity to put some of their learning into direct service action by undertaking conservation tasks in the environment.

All of 3rd Form worked with The Green Team ( at The Glencorse Centre in Auchendinny, where they pruned existing walking routes and created new pathways for walkers. They also provided crucial maintenance on newly planted trees by removing overgrown grass from the roots, helping to prevent local wildlife from causing any damage.

The students threw themselves into the tasks and were commended by The Green Team for their approach and curiosity. To celebrate the success of the day, we finished up with a bonfire and gathered as a group to toast some marshmallows over the fire. Well done everyone!
