Following the Piano Competition in February, and last week’s Spring Concert, the Instrumental Competition represented the ‘third act’ of a busy Spring term. Earlier this week, saw a highly competitive first round with 25 musicians vying for a place in the final. In the Intermediate Class, Emilia A. took the top spot with her stunning performance of Bach and Debussy on the flute, while Hazel M. earned Highly Commended for her confident Fauré ‘Berceuse’. In the Senior Class, Nyasha W. wowed the judges with her contemporary flute piece, winning first place, and Bethany W. was Highly Commended for her charming violin performance. Congratulations to all the talented musicians for an unforgettable night of music!
