On Tuesday 15^th October we held the annual Fettes Girls Swimming Gala and our Fettesians were incredibly lucky to have Dan Wallace (Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Swimming Medalist) join us for the event.

Gathering poolside, fellow housemates filled the room with cheer as the highly competitive event took place. Well done to all those who took part and huge thanks to Dan Wallace for inspiring our young swimmers!

Congratulations to Arniston House for winning the Junior House Cup and College West for retaining their title from last year in the Senior House Cup.

A few special mentions for excellent determination:

• Lily W (3^rd Form) for winning the Junior 25m Breaststroke
• Sophie M for winning the Junior Individual Champion award, after winning the Butterfly, Individual Medley and both Relays
• Kirsty A for breaking the school record in the 50m freestyle
