To celebrate this day we are delighted to announce the winners of the essay competition for students and staff – writing about the women who most inspire them. Beau R won the student category – inspired by Elsie Inglis (physician, surgeon and pioneer of medical education for women) and the contributions Elsie made to society. Runner up prizes were also awarded to Jack H, Junze G, Isla H and Emily S.

Mr Rowlands won the staff category – writing about Millie Knight, a visually impaired Paralympian medal winning skier being an inspiration to all through her resilience, determination and commitment to her goals.
