Following our record-breaking A Level and IB results this year, we are delighted to share another fantastic set of GCSE results. 

Improving on last year’s outcomes across every measure, nearly a fifth of all grades were at Grade 9, 40% were at Grades 9–8 (A*) and over 60% were at Grades 9–7 (A*–A). Over a third of our students achieved at least eight Grades 9–7. 

There is also much to celebrate in the additional qualifications undertaken by students alongside their GCSE programmes. 100% of students taking Extended Mathematics achieved a Distinction or Distinction*, while 100% of those taking a Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) achieved A*–A grades. 

Anushka Chakravarty, Deputy Head (Academic) said “All of these grades are hard-earned, and we are delighted for our GCSE cohort that their efforts and commitment to learning have resulted in some brilliant individual and collective outcomes. As the first cohort to undertake the bespoke Fettes Middle School Diploma, these students also complete this chapter with numerous memories and experiences from outdoor pursuits, co-curricular activities and volunteering, which have developed their communication skills, creativity and sense of community. 

We are excited to welcome them into our Sixth Form next month as they embark on their new A Level and IB programmes, and to see them continue to grow in preparation for life beyond school.”
