GCSE Results 2024
Fettes College is extremely proud to announce an outstanding set of 2024 GCSE results with 24% of results at grade 9 and 50% at grades 9-8 (equivalent to A* under the previous system). In total, 72% of all grades achieved were 9-7 (equivalent to A*-A), which is particularly impressive compared to a national average of 48% 9-7 grades across the independent sector.
There are many individual successes within the overall statistics, which deserve special celebration - with one student achieving 11 grade 9s - but all our students deserve much praise.
Helen Harrison, Head of Fettes College said "Building on last year’s success, I am delighted to see that this year’s cohort have achieved a very strong set of results. Our GCSE students have demonstrated talent and strength of character as they worked towards their examinations. This will stand them in good stead for an exciting and fulfilling two years of Sixth Form as they progress on either the A Level or IB pathway. Many congratulations to all!”
Anushka Chakravarty, Deputy Head (Academic) said “As I take up my role as Deputy Head (Academic) at Fettes College, I am delighted to see the hard work and resilience of our students in these results. I am very much looking forward to working with these students in the future and congratulate them, and their teachers, on this success”.
