Some of our Pipe Band members have had a busy few days out and about…and taking the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Scottish Schools Trio and Quartet Competition. First up was Maillie M who impressed Bake Off judge Prue Leith with a different kind of piping bag at the Women of Achievement Lunch at Archers' Hall, with many of the guests saying how fitting it was to have such an impressive young female piper playing at this event. 

 The following evening 12 of our pipers were at the Eagle Pipers Society at the Scots Guards Club, where they played a varied repertoire including two competitive sets in preparation for next week’s Competition. The revered position of ‘post pie piper’ (The Eagle Pipers Pies are legendary) fell to Harry SC who performed a couple of Marches to settle the pipes before playing the Piobaireachd for the evening - another special tradition.
