Yesterday afternoon we saw the return of our lunchtime Coffee Concerts!

Our short, informal Coffee Concerts are held in the beautiful Culachy Music School and give students the opportunity to perform music in front of a large audience of peers, staff and visitors. The concerts are a chance for students to gain some performance experience, build confidence and practice new skills to eager listeners.

Our new Arts Prefects, Larry W and Immy V, hosted the event and everyone enjoyed some wonderful performances from Flora HM, Davina HM, Jael S and Larry W. After the performances were over we had the hymn-draw for the forthcoming House Singing Competition. This involved each Head of House picking their hymn from a sealed envelope and treating us to the first couple of lines to reveal their chosen hymn.

We have five further Coffee Concerts this term and, with spaces filling up fast, they’ll offer us an interesting and varied repertoire, from beginners and advanced performers alike. We can't wait!
