Cricket v MCC

On 27th April, our 1st XI Cricket team, captained by Sam W took on the renowned MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) in an excellent match of cricket.

Having been introduced in the 1930s, the MCC fixture has become a keenly anticipated fixture in our school sport’s calendar. The MCC teams who have turned out to play Fettes in recent years have featured many Scottish cricket internationals, (past and present), and some distinguished OFs. These matches are played in great spirit, and although wins are hard to come by, they are always fantastic learning opportunities.  This year’s game was no exception, with Fettes putting up a fine contest against a strong MCC team.

Well done to all members of the team and in particular to Oliver A and James SC who made their 1st XI debut.
