Head of Computer Science, Mr Dan Stewart hosted Nikhil Malankar, CEO of GameEon on Tuesday 18th November.  Fifty students took the opportunity to join this Q&A styled session to hear about Nikhil’s journey from Mumbai in India into the entrepreneurial world of game development. 

This event was a great opportunity for students interested in Computer Science related careers to explore and learn about the games industry and how games are designed and made.  They learned about game design documentation, prototyping, and testing.  They also learned about the different job roles and functions within the development team from artwork to bug reporting.  Students also explored his social media presence and how that has helped grow his business reach.

Nikhil said it was an "absolute' delight" meeting everyone at Fettes and that "The students' thoughtful questions, curiosity, and genuine interest in the world of game development truly stood out and made the visit especially memorable".

Fourth Form GCSE Computer Science student Cameron said "it was really cool and inspiring to hear about how he initially taught himself how to code from a book and not just relying on taught lessons.  Thank you for a great talk Nikhil."
