Chapel Choir concert in St John’s Kirk, Perth

On Sunday 25th February, the Chapel Choir gave a concert in St John’s Kirk, Perth - singing to a large and appreciative audience, in what is a long and well-established concert series. The repertoire ranged from S. S. Wesley to Chilcott and Lauridsen to Balfour-Gardiner,  so there was something for everyone.   The concert allowed  some of our U6th to show-off their vocal talents, particularly in Franz Biebl’s ‘Ave Maria’ namely:  Annabelle P, Honor S, Sofia T, Max C and Will R., and also included some of the younger talent in the form of Diya E in the same work.  Thomas E. wowed and wooed the audience with his lead part in Howard Goodall’s ‘Do not stand at my grave and weep’.  As ever, we were greatly assisted by Mr Loudon and Mr Watson who supported the tenor line, and of course, our very own Chapel Organist, Mr Bertram who provided all the necessary accompaniment.
