CCF NCO Dinner Night

On the 15th  January 48 Senior Cadets from the Fettes CCF Contingent attended a military style Dinner.  Amongst those attending were The Cadets who fulfil command roles within the Contingent and without their dedicated service we would struggle to train the high numbers of Fourth and Fifth Form Cadets.

The guest list included 12 members of 51 Brigade, 3 RIFLES (a local Regular British Army Regiment), Police Scotland, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and Fettes teaching staff who are integral to the delivery of Cadet training. Each guest was hosted by a Senior Cadet and it was their responsibility to introduce them to the rest of their table. Pipe Major Will F piped in the top table and the night closed with speeches from Major Rowlands, the Guest Speaker Captain Maciejewski (3 RIFLES) and Cadet RSM Cameron M. Mr Monair (School Staff Instructor) and Cadet Head of Army Rosie M directed the flow of the evening as Masters of Ceremony.

Major Rowlands said “The Senior Cadet group are particularly strong this year and this was highlighted in the address from the Guest Speaker who spoke about being a role model and being true to who you are at all times, in and out of command.”

Thanks to all who took part in this hugely successful event.
