A momentous term for our netball teams as they entered two senior teams into the Scottish Schools Cup for the first time.

Fettes A team had some convincing wins at the start of the campaign beating James Gillespie B 44-2 and ESMS 54-1. Then a fiercely contested match against St George’s which Fettes A narrowly lost 17-20, the final pool match was against Craigmount which they won 34-21 and meant that they qualified for the Gold Round. Their next match was against St.Ninian’s which they lost 19-42.

Fettes B team had close matches in their pool. They played James Gillespie A team and won 20-18, next was Broughmuir, Fettes B victorious 17-16. Then a narrow loss against ESMS 19-20. The final pool game against St Augustine resulted in a 32-15 win to see them also go through to the Gold Section. Their next match was against Lomond which they lost 12-42.

Every player competed with pride and passion and to have reached the 3rd round of the Scottish Schools Cup is something to be very proud of. The skills developed, tactics learnt and friendship bonds made will stand us in great stead for the terms ahead.
