Art Exhibition 2022

For the first time in three years we were able to invite families and friends to view our amazing End of Year Art Exhibition in person. The Art department have been excitedly planning and preparing the exhibition, and students were delighted to celebrate their achievements and show off their work. Everyone had a great evening.

Miss B Conway, Head of Art says “As teachers in the department, we want others to enjoy seeing our students’ work; to be intrigued by their ideas, impressed by their skill, inspired to see more and perhaps get involved in creative projects themselves.

Our prizewinners this year are Sirisha S (5th Form) whose thoughtful and highly experimental work, looking closely at the way unusual materials interact, was highly praised by all at the exhibition. The Research prize was awarded to Kristina H (L6th) for her intelligent, consistent and carefully documented research into her theme throughout the year. There were two prizewinners in U6th -  Lulu M whose work exploring fashion branding, trend setting, and consumer culture was provocative and cleverly communicated in her ‘Closing Down Sale’ installation and Tulla B, a student who draws beautifully and whose thoughtful and expressive works contemplating her ideas about ‘Home’ resonated with many.

We are proud of all of them.
