Good weather and a firm track ensured a tremendous turnout and excellent races at this year’s Sports Day.  The outstanding first race of the day saw Rory B break the 200m school record that has stood since 1988. A further six school records were broken on the track with Rory B achieving two new individual records and two relay records with the help of his Moredun team. Impressive in their sprint events, Marianna M, Marissa M and Lulu M also set new records.

In the Field, new school Records were achieved by Shope J in the Shot, with all 3 putts, and by Fergus and Clemmie P in the Javelin. We saw our first ever girls Sports Day Tug of War competition with College West winning against College East; Kimmerghame won against Moredun in the boys event.

This year’s Sports Day highlighted the best of Fettes, with outstanding achievements, all round fun, support and encouragement for everyone.

The overall House winners across the day were Glencorse and Dalmeny.
