On Sunday 6th October, Old Fettesian Jake Wightman (Gl 2008-2012) finished 5th in the Men's 1500m IAAF World Championships Final, setting a new Scottish record and beating his personal best! Congratulations Jake!

We spoke to him ahead of the championships beginning and he told us:

“It’s always a real honour to be selected to represent Great Britain, and even more so at a World Championships. It’s a great opportunity to test myself against the best in the world, and will be great preparation before a big Olympic year next year.”
