Old Fettesian Jake Wightman (Gl 2008-2012) finished 3^rd in the 1500m men’s race at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Monaco on Friday 14^th August, completing the race with a time of 3:29.47. We spoke to Jake a few days after the event and this is what he had to say:

"It was a big milestone in my athletics career. Coe, Cram and Ovett have always been huge role models for me, so to move past them on the British all time list is really special. I hope to build on this performance now, with everything being focussed on Tokyo next year."
