On Saturday, during Commemoration Weekend, we were thrilled to be able to host over 40 visiting Old Fettesians for a highly informative Careers Lunch with the whole of the Lower Sixth.  Our guests stretched across the generations and represented a huge range of careers and Higher Education pathways. The Old Fettesians who kindly joined us included: a retired Judge; the former CEO of the London 2012 Olympics; a young chef in a Michelin Star restaurant, as well as a medic.  We were joined by: founders of start-ups; those excelling in AI and Machine learning; architects from different types of practice; an engineer; those in property and finance; international relations and foreign policy professionals making particular use of multi-lingual capabilities and many recent graduates including those starting out in the Civil Service, on graduate schemes including FMCG, accountancy and assurance.

"The OF lunch brought all of the L6 a great chance to see first hand what the opportunities are after graduating. We all met a variety of people with many stories of what life was like beyond Fettes. They brought great insight into the numerous routes one can take after school. Some conversations changed people's ideas of universities to go to and paths to go down, whilst others strengthened the course choice and paths by giving them personal advice from what their experiences were like"

- Siena N, L6th Careers Prefect.
