The Fettes Foundation was formed in 1998 to raise philanthropic income for the benefit of Fettes and its pupils.
Since then, the Foundation has received donations from over 2,400 generous donors to support the provision of bursaries, a number of capital developments and other key projects.
Donations from our engaged community of Old Fettesians, parents and friends of Fettes transform the lives of pupils who come to Fettes and will continue to do so for generations.
Thank you to everyone who has helped the Foundation to achieve its aims over the past two decades.
Bursaries at Fettes
Fettes is committed to transforming lives by offering bursary awards to those who would not ordinarily be in a position to benefit from a Fettes education. Increasing philanthropic income towards bursaries is a key priority for the Fettes Foundation. You can read more about this here.
Anyone wishing to make a tax efficient donation to Fettes from the United States can do so via The Friends of Fettes College Inc. For more information on supporting us in this way please click here.
The Fettes Foundation is a registered charity with European charity partners. If you pay tax in a European country, you may be eligible to receive tax benefits. For more information, please visit the Transitional Giving website or email us.
I am grateful to all our donors and am delighted that each year members of our generous community choose to support us for the first time.

“The fact that there are many people within the Fettes community who continue to support us is testament to what a special place Fettes is. Thank you to everyone who has helped the Foundation to achieve its aims over the past two decades."
Bruce Dingwall (SH 1973-1978)
Chairman of the Fettes Foundation
On Friday 26th April, 30 Old Fettesians got together at the Yale Club in New York for the annual gathering of our warm and generous US-based community.
This March we were delighted to launch Fettes Kick-start, a new programme to actively recruit two 11 year old children, from disadvantaged backgrounds in Edinburgh, into First Form at the Prep School each year.
The Fettes Foundation was set up in 1998 to raise philanthropic income for Fettes and its pupils. As the school has continued to grow, so too has the Foundation. Over the last two decades, the Foundation has raised over £16.5 million in support of a multitude of projects.
