Join us for a celebratory afternoon at Fettes to commemorate the 150th birthday of the College.
This is one of a number of events we are planning throughout academic year 2020-21 to celebrate Fettes’ 150th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of girls joining the College.
The festivities will begin at 2pm with a Commemorative Chapel Service, which will be followed by House visiting including entertainment, tours of the Houses and archival displays. Thereafter guests will have the opportunity to process in Houses to the Beaches / Front Lawn to watch a Tug of War competition in which all Houses will take part – boys versus boys and girls versus girls.
At the end of the afternoon there will be a Beating Retreat with a massed pipe band featuring members of the Fettes College Pipe Band past and present.
We will also raise a flag to Sir William Fettes and enjoy refreshments, including birthday cake.
We hope that many Old Fettesians, former staff and parents, past and present, will join these celebrations. Tickets are £10 per adult and complimentary for children. Please note that tickets for Chapel will be allocated on a first come first served basis and that current pupils will not be in Chapel unless they are members of the Chapel Choir.
