Fettes College has been named Independent School of the Year in the Independent School Parent ‘Outstanding Student Careers Programme’ category.
We are immensely proud of our Fettes community who, with such strong support have made this possible.
The Fettes Career Partnership programme began six years ago with the vision to support our young people in pursuit of their careers. We began by consulting and listening to advice from Old Fettesians and Parents across the globe. Their resounding thought was to connect the Fettes community to support each other at every age and stage on their career journey, which is what we now aim to do.
Caroline Davies, Head of HE and Careers acknowledges ‘the real-world support that we receive from Parents and OFs really starts to bring career opportunities to life. Our students develop early networking skills with professionals from the Fettes Community, asking their own questions and receiving genuine insight and advice. This support continues as they leave us to begin their own career journey beyond Fettes.’
Karen Jones, Development Manager, Fettes Career Partnership Programme said: ‘it has been a pleasure to develop the Fettes Career Partnership Programme to flourish at every level, from quick conversations to internships and from networking events to thought leadership panels. We are facilitating supportive connections across the globe weekly through the capability and willingness of our wonderful Fettes community. This award is as much for them as it is for us!’
